Karaoke on a phone has one technical problem that overshadows everything else: audio latency. Android's audio path adds delay between your voice reaching the microphone and coming back through the headphones, and beyond about thirty milliseconds it becomes impossible to sing in time. Everything else is catalogue and community.
Fixing the delay first

Singing with no connection
Almost every karaoke app streams the backing track, which makes them useless on a plane or in a car park. There are two workarounds.

Getting a decent recording
If you plan to keep the recording, three things matter more than the app. Sing in a room with soft furnishings, because bare walls produce echo the app cannot remove. Keep the phone about a hand's width from your mouth rather than against it. And record a test verse first to check the level, since clipping cannot be fixed afterwards.
