Known across Kerala as Thuruppu Kali, 28 is the trick-taking card game families have played together for generations. Now you can play it with the same people wherever they are, at a 4 player or 6 player table.

TWO TABLE SIZES

4 PLAYER: two teams of two, 8 cards each, 8 tricks per round, bidding opens at 14.
6 PLAYER: two teams of three, 6 cards each, 6 tricks per round, bidding opens at 16.


AUTHENTIC 28 RULES

This is the game as it is actually played, not a simplified version:

- Bid for the right to choose the trump suit
- The trump card stays face down until a player asks to see it
- The player who asks for the trump must cut with it
- Thani, the 28 call: bid the maximum and play alone with no trump, and capture every point
- Single round and multi round match formats
- Jack 3 points, Nine 2 points, Ace and Ten 1 point each, 28 points in the deck

Never played 28 before? The game guides you. Cards you cannot legally play are dimmed automatically, so you learn the rules by playing instead of reading them. Play a few offline rounds against the AI and you will pick it up quickly.
