Wortino: German Flashcards

Wortino is a German flashcard app with Turkish and English explanations. It uses the FSRS spaced-repetition algorithm, so each German word comes back for review just before you would forget it.

This is a beta release. A1 and A2 levels are available now; B1 is coming soon. Meanings and explanations are in Turkish and English only.

GERMAN FLASHCARDS
• Words come with a clear meaning and real example sentences; nouns are taught with their articles
• You only study the cards that are due today
• Recognition cards come first; typing (production) cards unlock as you learn the word

DER / DIE / DAS
• Turkish has no grammatical gender, so the article of each German noun has to be learned separately. A dedicated article drill helps it stick

VERB CONJUGATION AND GRAMMAR
• Conjugation tables presented as flashcards
• Drills for the passive (Passiv), Konjunktiv II, the genitive, separable verbs and verbs that take a fixed preposition (Rektion)
• Topic units: study words grouped by everyday themes

EXERCISE TYPES
• Flashcards, typing answers, and a word bank for building sentences

OFFLINE STUDY AND SYNC
• Cards you have already downloaded can be studied without a connection; new cards and some grammar cards need one. Progress syncs when you are back online
• Use the same account on the web (wortino.app) and in the Android app

EXAMPLE SENTENCES
Most example sentences come from the Tatoeba corpus (tatoeba.org) and are shared under CC BY 2.0 FR; sources are on the Credits page in the app. Some explanations and example sentences are prepared with the help of AI and reviewed; AI-written example sentences are labelled on the cards.

ACCOUNT
Sign in with email or Google. Your progress is tied to your account and syncs across devices.
