Pietro opened in 1980 in Tenjin, Fukuoka City as a "spaghetti specialty store". With the concept that "what goes well with freshly cooked rice goes well with freshly boiled spaghetti," spaghetti combined with Japanese ingredients such as cod roe and takana, which was still rare at the time, gradually became a hot topic, celebrating the first anniversary of the opening.
