CHECK YOUR 5G BANDS
See which 5G NR bands your device radio supports, and compare them against what your carrier actually deploys. This explains the most confusing case of all — a genuinely 5G phone that never gets 5G, because it was built for another region's bands.
Low-band, mid-band and mmWave are listed separately, so you can tell whether you have the bands that carry real speed or only the ones that travel far.
NSA VS SA — AND WHY IT MATTERS
Most networks still run 5G NSA, where your phone keeps a 4G connection at all times and adds a 5G carrier on top for data. Standalone 5G (SA) drops the 4G anchor and is what makes low latency and VoNR possible.
5G Check tells you which one you are on right now. Almost nothing else on your phone does. If your 5G feels no faster than good LTE, NSA versus SA is often the reason, and knowing which you have is the difference between a fixable problem and one you simply cannot fix yet.

WHY A PLAIN ANSWER MATTERS

This app is for the other case. It reads the same values and turns them into a sentence you can act on: your phone can do it, your carrier has not enabled it, or you are not in coverage. The raw fields are still there; you just do not have to start with them.

A phone that is fully 5G capable in one country can be a 4G phone in another, purely because of the bands it shipped with. Check before you commit, not after.
IF YOUR 5G IS NOT WORKING
The common complaints all have different causes, and the app tells them apart:
- 5G not showing at all, on a phone sold as 5G — usually bands, or carrier provisioning
- 5G keeps dropping to 4G — normal on NSA, where the 4G anchor never goes away
- 5G is on but slow — often low-band NR, which performs much like good LTE
- 5G on one SIM but not the other — provisioning is per-SIM, not per-phone
