Analysis de Orina APP
Urinalysis teaches how to interpret the physical, chemical, and microscopic examination as performed in a laboratory setting.
Contents (4 chapters, 22 lessons)
1. Introduction and Sample — urine formation, collection, color, appearance, and specific gravity.
2. Chemical Examination — strips: pH, protein, glucose, ketones, blood, pigments, and nitrite.
3. Urine Sediment — cells, acidic and alkaline crystals, casts, artifacts, and parasites.
4. Special Tests — confirmation of findings, inborn errors of metabolism, and porphyrins. Atlas — Over 40 findings with photos or diagrams, including shape, pH, solubility, what to confuse them with, and how to report them. Includes cystine, oxalate, struvite, wax cast, Trichomonas, and Schistosoma eggs.
Practice
• 35 fact sheets (physiology, specimen, strips, microscopy).
• 25 questions with immediate explanations.
• Identify: one field, four names; polarize if necessary.
• 8 clinical cases (pyelonephritis, exercise proteinuria, cystinuria, porphyria, etc.).
• 8 reference tables: color, density, false strips, solubility, jaundice.
Search by term (cystine, ADH, wax cast) and pick up where you left off.
For whom: laboratory, biochemistry, and medical students, and technicians preparing for rotations or exams. This is not a clinical reporting system or a substitute for the microscope or laboratory handbook.
