In Karnataka Ration Card e-KYC Verification Mobile Application is designed to facilitate secure and convenient e-KYC verification of ration card beneficiaries using Aadhaar-based face authentication, subject to applicable Aadhaar authentication procedures, guidelines, and permissions.

As per the updated government requirements, e-KYC verification is required once every five years to help ensure that beneficiary databases remain accurate and up to date. Verification of only the Head of the Household is no longer sufficient. Every eligible family member included in the ration card is required to complete the prescribed e-KYC verification through an approved authentication method, such as biometric, iris, or face authentication.

The application enables ration card family members to complete their e-KYC verification through a simple, secure, and user-friendly digital process. Aadhaar-based face authentication facilitates identity verification of the beneficiary in accordance with the applicable Aadhaar authentication framework and prescribed procedures.

The application is intended to support the Department in maintaining an accurate, updated, and reliable beneficiary database while providing beneficiaries with a convenient digital mechanism to complete their e-KYC verification.
