App Caminata APP
The Caminata app organizes a walking pilgrimage: from your parish to Luján, or any other.
If you're walking, the app tells you the next checkpoint and how far away it is, lets you mark your arrival at each one, and shows you which bus you're taking to get there and back. If you need help, a button alerts the organizers with your exact location and a contact phone number.
If you're organizing, you can see the entire pilgrimage on a map: who's walking, who's on the support bus, who's fallen behind, and who's asked for help. And you can manage the usual things: people, buses going and returning, and checkpoints along the route.
WHAT IT DOES
• Knowing where everyone is. During the walk, the app shares your location with the organizers from your parish, even if your phone is put away and the screen is off.
• Knowing who passed through where. When you enter the area of a checkpoint, a button appears to mark your arrival. No one needs to write anything down by hand.
• Respond quickly to an emergency. The call for help arrives instantly, with the location and phone number of the person who needs to be contacted.
• The actual route, not the ideal one. Almost no one walks the whole way in one go: the app takes into account those who board the support bus and rejoin later, those who join at a stop along the way, and those who decide to turn back.
ABOUT YOUR LOCATION
Your location is shared only by the organizers of your parish, and only while the walk is in progress. While the app records your location with the screen off, your phone displays it with a notification in the notification bar. There is no silent tracking, and nothing is recorded outside of the day of the walk.
The app has no advertising and does not sell data to anyone.
