Tai Youth Organization – TYO background The Tai Youth Organization was established in April 24, 2013. And TYO was registered in 2015 to operate in Shan State. It had been updated register in 2021 to 2025. The Tai Youth Organization (TYO) is considered as one of the active Shan Ethnic Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) based in Taunggyi Township of Shan State. TYO has its operation statewide, which has its main objective focusing primarily on community mobilization and resilience of Shan communities by enhancing capacities of youth groups. TYO is located at 142, Loi Kham Street, Lane - 11, Payarphyu Quarter, Taunggyi, Shan State, Myanmar.

While acting across all of Shan State, we seek to:
To further develop socio-economic livelihood and health care for the community
2. To improve job opportunities and access to higher education by exploring and applying the local knowledge and skills developed and possessed by the public interests
3. To support the creation of a strong local market that is based on environmentally responsible agricultural systems and practices
4. To develop friendship, cohesiveness and harmony amongst the youths of Shan State through engagement in social activities and raising their awareness.
5. To promote local culture and literature.
