Compass Pro - Altimeter & GPS APP

Compass Pro shows your heading, altitude, air pressure and GPS reception in one instrument app. At its centre is a tilt-compensated true north compass that stays steady when you tilt or raise the phone, joined by a bubble level, coordinates and address, an altimeter, a barometer and a satellite view. Made for hiking, camping and fishing. Heading, altitude and pressure work offline.

MAIN FEATURES

● Steady true north compass
Hold the phone flat, or upright like a camera — the needle does not spin when you raise the phone. Switch between true north and magnetic north with one tap; true north is corrected with the declination for your location. Choose a rotating or north-up dial. Works in portrait and landscape.

● Calibration guide and heading reliability
Compass Pro always shows how reliable the heading is and warns you when magnets or metal disturb the magnetic field. The calibration screen shows the figure-8 motion and the accuracy improving live. "Check by walking" compares the compass with your GPS direction of travel.

● Bubble level
A bubble in the dial shows the tilt in degrees.

● Coordinates and address
Latitude and longitude in decimal degrees or degrees-minutes-seconds, with the address. Copy, share or open the position in a map app.

● Altimeter and barometer
GPS altitude is shown above sea level, not as raw ellipsoid height. Phones with a pressure sensor also show barometric altitude, which you can calibrate by entering a known elevation, and the air pressure in hPa, inHg, mmHg or kPa.

● GPS status, sunrise and sunset
Fix state, satellites in use and horizontal accuracy at a glance, plus sunrise and sunset times for your location.

PREMIUM FEATURES

● Pressure trend, recording and drop alert
See the 3-hour trend with a weather hint and graphs of up to 7 days. Record pressure in the background, show it in the status bar or a home screen widget, and get notified when it falls fast — useful if pressure changes give you headaches.

● Altitude log and relative altitude
Highest and lowest point, total ascent and descent, and an altitude profile. Set the current spot to 0 to measure a height difference.

● GPS details
Sky view, signal strength (C/N0) per satellite, a breakdown by GPS, QZSS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou, DOP, time to first fix and dual-frequency (L5) reception. If satellites are slow to appear, clear and reload the A-GPS assistance data.

● Bearing lock, targets and saved spots
Lock a bearing and the dial shows how far to turn. Save your car, tent or trailhead, and an arrow shows the distance and direction back. You can also target the Qibla (direction of Mecca). Export saved spots as GPX.

● More
• UTM, MGRS and degrees-decimal-minutes coordinate formats, CSV export of the pressure log
• Sun and moon direction on the dial, moonrise, moonset and moon age
• Night red mode that keeps your eyes adapted to the dark
• Floating compass on top of other apps (use it with a map) and a Quick Settings tile
• Colour themes

PRICING
The compass, calibration guide, heading reliability, level, coordinates and address, current altitude and pressure, GPS summary and sunrise/sunset stay free. Premium is a one-time purchase that you keep for good — NOT a subscription. With the same Google account you can restore it on a new phone.

PERMISSIONS
• Location: used for true north, coordinates, GPS altitude and status, and sunrise/sunset. Without it, the magnetic compass and level still work. Your location is not sent to the developer's servers (the address comes from Android's address lookup, which needs a connection).
• Display over other apps: only for the floating compass.
• Notifications: pressure recording and the drop alert.

DEVICES
Heading needs a magnetic sensor; pressure and barometric altitude need a pressure sensor. Without one, altitude comes from GPS. Phones and tablets, light and dark themes, 39 languages.
