Exposure — Light Meter

Exposure is a light meter (exposure meter) for film photography. Point your phone at the subject and read off ready-made shutter–aperture pairs for the film you loaded.

It replaces a built-in meter that died or drifted, and the handheld meter you would rather not carry.

HOW IT WORKS
Set the ISO of your film and point the phone camera at the subject. At the bottom of the screen there is a sliding scale: the first row is the aperture number, the second is the shutter speed matching the current exposure. Slide it horizontally to pick the pair you want — a fast shutter for movement, or a wide aperture for a portrait. The exposure value (EV) is shown at the top of the screen.

ABOUT ACCURACY
The reading comes from the phone camera, so it can differ from a reference meter by a stop or two, and the offset varies between phone models. Before an important shoot, compare the reading with a digital camera or a handheld meter and set the exposure compensation if needed.
