Frigate Client

A client for your own Frigate NVR server. It talks to the instance running in your house:
no account, no cloud, nobody in between.

WATCH
• Every camera in a grid that adapts to phone, tablet and rotation.
• Reorder the cameras or hide the ones you never look at.
• Full-screen camera with pinch zoom and panning over the image.
• Each camera's switches — detection, recording, snapshots, audio — are visible and
tappable from the live view.
• PTZ controls on cameras that support them.

REVIEW
• One list with alerts and detections together, in time order, with previews.
• Filters by camera, by label and by zone.
• Tapping an event takes you straight to the recording, positioned at that moment.

RECORDINGS
• A continuous timeline: drag from one day into the next with no walls and no jumps.
• Motion band and event markers drawn on the timeline itself.
• Speeds from 0.5x to 4x, ten-second skips, and jumps to the previous or next event.
• Zoom into the recorded image, to read a plate or look at a face.
• The calendar tells you up front how many days each camera still keeps.

EXPORT AND SHARE
• Export the stretch you are watching and find it later in the exports screen.
• Play, share or delete an export without leaving the app.

ALERTS
• Notifications for what happens, with quiet hours, per-camera filtering and a cooldown so
you are not told twice.
• And one alert no other client gives you: when a camera stops recording. A stopped
camera's live view looks exactly like a working one, so without this you find out when
you go looking for the footage and it is not there.

HOME AND AWAY
• A local address and a remote one. The app uses the local one when it can reach it and
the other when it cannot, with nothing for you to switch.

REQUIREMENTS
• A Frigate server reachable from the phone. Tested against 0.17.
• The unauthenticated port (5000). Frigate's authenticated access is not supported yet, so
using it away from home needs a VPN.
• Android 12 or newer.
