Mellan – Mac companion

Mellan connects your Android phone to your Mac directly over Bluetooth. No account, no cloud, no server in between.

Mellan requires Mellan for Mac, a separate app running on macOS 13 or later. Nothing is sold in this Android app.

• Copy text on your Mac and it appears on your phone.
• Send text to your Mac from the Share sheet, the text-selection menu, or the Send clipboard tile in Quick Settings.
• Turn on automatic sharing if you want every copy sent without an extra tap. This optional feature uses Shizuku for system-level access without root and stays off until you enable it.
• On Android 13 and later, text marked as sensitive by the source app, such as a password-manager fill, is never sent automatically.

LEAVE YOUR PHONE WHERE IT IS

• Read phone notifications on your Mac, including messages and verification codes.
• Choose which apps are mirrored, or turn mirroring off at any time.
• See your phone’s battery level and charging state in the Mac menu bar.

HOTSPOT FROM YOUR MAC

• Let your Mac turn the phone’s Wi-Fi hotspot on and off and join automatically.
• Hotspot control is optional, uses Shizuku, and stays off until you enable it.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

• Pair one Mac and one Android phone by confirming the same six-digit code on both screens.
• Clipboard text, notifications, hotspot details and device status travel over an end-to-end encrypted Bluetooth connection between your two devices.
• Mellan has no internet permission, no ads, no analytics and no account.
• Every optional feature can be switched off in Mellan at any time.

Mellan supports Android 10 and later. Both devices need Bluetooth and must be nearby.
