What is SINIGAN?

SINIGAN - National Livestock Information System. It is the platform through which livestock farmers, companies, government entities, and other stakeholders in the production chain can register, consult, and manage information about animals and livestock activities in Colombia.

With SINIGAN, there will be organized and secure control of everything that happens with livestock: traceability from birth through sale and movement. SINIGAN is about monitoring animal health and strengthening the competitiveness of the livestock sector.

With SINIGAN you can:

1. Maintain the official registry of animals (cattle, buffalo, swine, among others) in the country.

2. Control animal traceability, that is, track each animal throughout its productive life.

3. Facilitate the processing of movement permits and other mandatory documents.

4. Improve livestock health and biosecurity, preventing diseases and controlling outbreaks. 5. Generate reliable information for decision-making by livestock farmers, associations, and regulatory bodies.

1. Livestock Farm Registration: Allows you to register farms or properties where livestock activities are carried out, a requirement for moving animals.

2. Animal Registration: Each animal can be registered with data such as identification, breed, sex, date of birth, among others.

3. Movement Permits: The platform allows you to manage the permits that enable the legal transport of animals between farms, fairs, slaughterhouses, etc.

4. Animal Traceability: SINIGAN maintains a complete history of each animal's events (birth, sale, transfer, slaughter), ensuring that its origin and destination are always known.

5. Inventory Inquiry: Livestock farmers can check at any time how many animals they have registered and their current status.

6. Health Event Reports: Events such as vaccinations, deaths, sales, and others can be recorded to maintain up-to-date records.

7. Self-Management for Livestock Farmers: SINIGAN allows livestock farmers to complete most procedures directly from their cell phones or computers, without needing to visit ICA offices.
