Set a source type (traffic, industry, living, or building work), a reference level at 1 m (45–120 dB(A)), horizontal distance (0–500 m), receiver height (1.2–10 m), and an element reduction rating Rw (15–60 dB). Traffic can use line-source decay; other sources default to point-source decay. You can switch the spread mode if needed.
The path length includes the height difference between source and receiver. Each source type has a typical octave-band shape. An A-weighting curve is applied per band, then bands are combined by energy to obtain LAeq.
The Contour page draws color bands of outdoor level versus distance. The Barrier page compares indoor LAeq for the four wall ratings as a bar chart. The Spectrum page shows the source shape and the A-weight curve. A report page lists inputs, path length, geometric decay, band values, and the limit check.
