TripToad is a group trip planner for friends, couples and families. Bring your itinerary, booking details, ideas and shared expenses into one trip, available in the app and on the web. Plan a weekend away, a multi-city holiday or a destination wedding, then keep using the same plan while you travel.
BUILD YOUR DAY-BY-DAY PLAN
Add stays, transport, restaurants and activities. View your itinerary as a list, on a map, in a calendar or by legs for multi-city trips. Keep notes and travel documents with the trip, and organize preparation tasks with assignees and due dates.
Invite fellow travelers with suitable access, or share a read-only companion link with someone who only needs to see the plan.
TURN IDEAS INTO PLANS
Collect places and activities as Ideas before committing them to the itinerary. Trip members with an account can vote on options. Owners and editors can discuss Ideas in comments and review chosen options before adding them to the plan.
BRING YOUR BOOKINGS TOGETHER
Forward confirmation emails to your personal TripToad import address. Review and correct the extracted booking drafts before accepting them into your itinerary. Prefer typing the details yourself? Manual entry remains available. Export dated plans to your phone calendar or use a trip calendar subscription.
ASK ABOUT YOUR ACTUAL TRIP
Ask the optional AI assistant questions such as "What are we doing on Tuesday?" or "How much have we recorded in expenses?" It uses the trip details you have saved. You can also ask it to propose a shared expense and who should split it, then inspect the amounts and people before confirming. AI assistance requires consent and has usage limits. Review its answers and proposed changes; it can make mistakes.
KEEP SHARED COSTS CLEAR
Record who paid and who shares an expense. Split the whole amount or individual receipt items, see balances, and record repayments made outside the app. Keep expenses in their original currencies and distinguish estimated conversions from actual card charges you enter. Record cash, credits, gift cards, points and miles without assigning rewards a cash value you have not supplied.
Photograph or upload a receipt, review the original alongside the recognized details, and correct missing or incorrect details before confirming. Receipt recognition is best-effort, with English best supported. TripToad records expenses and repayments; it does not move money or connect to payment apps or your bank.
CURRENT PRICING AND USAGE
TripToad is currently free to use, with no paid plans for sale or third-party advertising. Standard monthly allowances per account are 100 AI questions shared across AI features, 25 AI changes, 20 booking imports and 10 receipt scans. Account-specific allowances may differ. These are usage allowances, not guaranteed successful answers or extractions. Manual planning and expense entry remain available when these allowances are used up.
