Vacation Planner is a clean, ad-free calendar built to take the hassle out of vacation planning — tailored for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and many other countries, or usable as a straightforward leave tracker worldwide.

Features:

• For Europe & Worldwide: Select your country and region (supports Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, the Netherlands, Poland, and Czechia) for automated holidays, or switch to the worldwide mode for pure, simple leave tracking.
• Holidays & School Breaks: Official German public holidays work completely offline. Public holidays and school breaks for other supported countries are fetched automatically and can be toggled on with a single tap.
• The Full Year at a Glance: Double-tap anywhere on a month to switch between a complete yearly grid and a smooth scrolling view.
• Tap to Plan: Tap any day to add or remove vacation. Press and hold to log half days, overtime comp time, or custom events. Unused days automatically roll over to next year.
• Custom Colors: Pick your favorite colors for vacation, holidays, and categories so the calendar looks just the way you want.
• Home Screen Widget: Keep an eye on how many days are left until your holiday right from your home screen. Features rotating motivational phrases, dynamic emojis, and adjustable transparency to match your wallpaper.
• Private & Ad-Free: No accounts, no sign-ups, and zero ads. Everything stays safely stored on your device.

App Permissions:

• Internet access (INTERNET): Exclusively for one-time loading of public and school holiday schedules via OpenHolidays API. No personal data is transmitted.
• Run at startup (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED): Automatically restores the home screen widget after your device reboots.
• Exact alarms (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM): Reliably updates the widget day counter right at midnight.
• Backup and restore: Uses the secure Android system file picker. The app does not require access to your photos, media, or device storage.
