Veilshot: Redact Screenshots

Share screenshots, not secrets.

Every screenshot you send can carry more than you meant to share: an email address, a phone number, a card or bank number, an API key, a password in a chat, somebody's face. Veilshot finds them for you and hides them in one tap — before the image ever leaves your phone.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Pick a screenshot or photo.
2. Veilshot reads the text on it and spots faces, right on your device.
3. Everything sensitive is outlined and hidden. Tap a box to show or hide it, or draw your own.
4. Choose Blur, Pixelate or Black out — then share or save a clean copy.

WHAT IT CATCHES
• Email addresses and phone numbers
• Card numbers (checked with the Luhn algorithm, so order numbers aren't flagged)
• IBANs and bank details (checksum-validated)
• API keys and tokens — AWS, GitHub, Stripe, Slack, Google, OpenAI-style keys, JWTs, private keys
• Passwords and secrets written as "password: …" or "api_key = …"
• Private links carrying tokens, signatures or session codes
• IP addresses, street addresses and postcodes
• Faces
• Your own words — a client's name, a project codename (Pro)

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Veilshot scans images entirely on your phone. Nothing you open is uploaded, stored or seen by us — there is no account and no cloud. The redaction really removes the information: blur and pixelate first shrink the hidden area to a few pixels, so the original text can't be recovered, and the exported file carries no location or camera metadata.
