🗺️ The VRR area
The VER eTarif app is valid for the public transport timetable in the Rhine-Ruhr transport association. The VRR stretches from the Ruhr region to the Lower Rhine, across parts of the Bergisches Land region and the North Rhine-Westphalian state capital of Düsseldorf.
🌍 VRR Neighbors
The VER eTarif app also shows you connections to neighboring transport associations. The VRR borders:
- the Münsterland Transport Association (VGM) in the north
- the Ruhr-Lippe Transport Association (VRL) in the east
- the Rhine-Sieg Transport Association (VRS) and the Aachen Transport Association (AVV) in the south
- the Netherlands in the west
📶 Capacity Display
The app now shows you the estimated capacity of a train: low, medium, or high. The trip details even include the expected capacity for each stop. Currently, capacity information is only available for local trains (SPNV) within the VRR (VRR). In the long term, bus and train capacity forecasts will also be available.
