✉️ From Developer Ryotaro Ako: Having suffered from atopic dermatitis as a child, Ryotaro Ako learned programming and developed the "Atopiyo" app, a visualizing app for atopic dermatitis, based on interviews with people with atopic dermatitis, the insights of pharmacist Akiko Ako, and guidance and supervision from programmers.
Atopic dermatitis (eczema) causes itching that continues 24 hours a day, even while sleeping, and because it is visible to others, it can have a significant impact on mental health.
This app aims to help people suffering from atopic dermatitis (1) manage their symptoms themselves and (2) provide a forum for sharing information and supporting a speedy recovery. Our goal is to collaborate with pharmaceutical companies, medical institutions, and others to contribute to research, study, product development, and disease awareness in the field of atopic dermatitis.
⚠️ Atopiyo is not an app for providing treatment or medical procedures. While participants have chosen a variety of treatments, Atopiyo does not recommend any particular treatment. Furthermore, Atopiyo and pharmaceutical companies are not involved in the photos and text related to medications posted by users within the app.
