📊 EXAM FORMAT AND SCORING
The private security exam consists of two written parts. Candidates without weapons take the 100-question Basic section and pass with a score of 60 or higher out of 100. Candidates with weapons also take a 25-question firearms knowledge exam (50 points for the written exam + 50 points for the practical shooting exam); to pass, the average of the two scores must be 60 or higher, and neither section must fall below 50 individually. The score calculator in the application uses this official formula exactly.
