Aura: Edge Notifications APP
EDGE LIGHTING THAT TELLS YOU WHO
Most edge lighting apps flash the whole border in one color. Aura lights only the part you pick: WhatsApp on the upper right, Gmail lower left, Messenger along the top. Different colors, different spots. Your phone becomes a notification LED you can actually read.
SWIPE TO PEEK
The glow is alive. Drag it inward and a small panel slides out with the notification, and every other unread one from that app. Tap to open, swipe a row to clear, tap anywhere else to close. It works over any app, game or video.
MAKE IT YOURS
• Pick the color from a curated palette
• Choose the edge: left, right, top or bottom
• Drag the glow exactly where you want it, and set how long and how thick it is
• Seven glow animations: Breathe, Aurora, Comet, Pulse, Ember, Neon and Wave
• Share a spot between apps; they split it automatically when both light up
LOCK SCREEN AND SCREEN OFF (Aura Pro)
Aura draws its own quiet, black screen with the time and your glows on top of the lock screen. When the display is off and something arrives, it wakes dimly for a few seconds like an always on display, then goes back to sleep. It stays dark in your pocket and shifts a few pixels over time to protect OLED screens.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Aura has no internet permission. Notification text is read only for the apps you add, only to light the edge and show the peek panel, and never leaves your phone. No accounts, no analytics, no ads.
BATTERY FRIENDLY
The glow only draws while a notification is active. When nothing is lit, Aura is asleep.
FREE AND PRO
Free: two apps, any color, any position, the Breathe animation, full peek panel.
Aura Pro (one-time purchase, no subscription): unlimited apps, all seven animations, lock screen glow and screen-off wake.
WORKS ON
Any Android phone running Android 8 or newer, including Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel, OnePlus, Xiaomi, Nothing and Motorola. Notch, punch-hole and curved screens are all supported. Aura replaces the notification LED your phone no longer has.
SETUP TAKES A MINUTE
Aura needs notification access (to see which app spoke up) and permission to draw over other apps (to show the glow). Both are explained inside the app. On some phones you may also want to turn off battery optimization for Aura so the glow is never late.
Missing the notification LED? Want edge lighting that tells you which app it is instead of just that something happened? Give your notifications an aura.
