Five ways of talking. One of them is you.

• The Leaper — three ideas in, and none of them is the one you started with
• The Trailer-Off — starts the sentence, loses interest around the third word
• The Restarter — says it, hears it, does not like it, says it again
• The Fast Talker — says everything, twice as much as anyone else, same 45 seconds
• The Hammer — every sentence arrives like it is the last one

Which one you get is read off what you actually did, not a personality quiz. Talk differently next round and you get a different yapper.

▸ THE SCORE IS EVIDENCE, NOT VIBES

Seven things get counted on every round:

• Filler words per minute — the ums, the likes, the you-knows
• Words per minute — racing, crawling, or right
• Hesitation pauses per minute — the stalls, not the breaths
• Longest dead air — your single worst moment, in seconds
• Sentence completion — how often you actually finish one
• Vocabulary variety — how much you repeat yourself
• Pitch range — monotone, or actually moving

Same clip, same score, every time. Nothing is guessed and nothing is invented. Every number points at something you can go and check yourself.

▸ SEE EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED

Play the round back with every filler marked in the transcript. The score tells you there were eleven. The transcript shows you where.

▸ WORTH POSTING

Every round makes a share card — your yapper, your score, your topic. That is the point of the whole thing. Nobody screenshots "6.4 out of 10". People screenshot "apparently I'm The Restarter".

▸ TOPICS DESIGNED TO BE HARD

The deck is deliberately absurd and it keeps changing. Explain something you do not understand. Defend a position you do not hold. The best answers dodge the prompt completely.

▸ KEEP SCORE OVER TIME

Streaks count the days you showed up, not the days you did well — a bad round still counts, because the point is to keep talking. Watch every metric move, collect the topics you have played, and see where you land on the leaderboard.

▸ YOUR RECORDINGS ARE YOURS

Audio is deleted automatically on the schedule published in our privacy policy. You can delete your account and everything attached to it from inside the app, immediately, without emailing anybody.

Fix Yo Yap is not a speaking coach. It will not set you homework or tell you to visualise the audience in their underwear. It counts what you did and tells you who it sounds like.
