Guardians of the City GAME
How to win
Your Queen must stand on the center tile, and every one of your Guards must occupy the ring around it. Reaching the center alone is not enough. The Guards have to hold that floor with her.
How a match works
Rings of hexes run from the outer streets inward to a single center tile. Tap a piece to see where it can move, then tap a highlighted tile. Land on an enemy piece to capture it. A capture can leave a power-up on the board. Step onto that tile to pick it up, then spend it on a later turn. Double Forward sends a piece two tiles ahead instead of one.
Sudden Death
If the match runs long, the outer floor collapses. Pieces on that ring are forced inward and the city gets smaller. Wait too long and you will have less room to maneuver.
Learn the rules first
A short tutorial covers the board, how to select and move, how captures work, and what a winning formation looks like.
What you get
- Original rules on a hexagonal board, inspired by Agon
- Sheriff versus Part.X, each with a Queen and Guards
- Local play: pass the phone or tablet between two players
- Captures that can drop power-ups onto the board
- Sudden Death when the outer floor falls
- An in-game tutorial
- Landscape layout for phones and tablets
Read the board. One move can open the center, or close it for the rest of the match.
