Holos Accent

Say a sentence out loud. Holos Accent listens, scores it out of 100, and tells you which sound went wrong — not just "try again", but the word, the sound it expected, and what it heard instead.

HOW A TAKE WORKS

A short phrase sits at the top of the Practice screen. Tap "Listen native audio" to hear it in a British or American voice, then hold the record button, say the phrase, and let go. A few seconds later you get your score, a star rating, and the phrase back with every flagged word marked. Play your own take next to the native one and hear the difference for yourself.

PRACTISE WHAT YOU ACTUALLY GET WRONG

Every take feeds a running picture of your pronunciation. The Sounds screen ranks the sounds you fumble most — /θ/, /ɹ/, /æ/, the schwa — together with the words you missed them in, and one tap drills that sound with phrases chosen to contain it. Phrases are picked from your weak sounds automatically, or you can pin the level yourself: A1 through C2.

FREE AND PRO

Ten scored takes a day are free. Pro lifts the limit and keeps your full sound history — a monthly or yearly subscription billed through Google Play, cancellable any time from Settings or from your Play subscriptions.

WHAT THE APP ASKS FOR

The microphone, to record you. Notifications, only if you want the daily reminder. No contacts, no location, no advertising. Your takes and statistics are stored so the app can show you progress over time and play a take back — and you can wipe every one of them, or delete your account outright, from Settings. Both take effect on the server, not just on this phone.
