Where people actually use it

At a concert — hold up a scrolling LED banner with a name the whole crowd can read, or wave a synced lightstick with everyone around you.
At the airport — a big, readable sign to meet someone you have never seen before.
In a blackout — the real rear flashlight, steady or blinking SOS for help.
At a birthday — a candle you blow out with your own breath, then fireworks across the screen.
Walking the dog at night, or reading in the dark — a steady color light, as bright or as dim as you want.
Left on overnight — a giant seven-segment LED clock, dimmed for the dark.
Ten light modes

Scrolling text — type a message and the screen becomes a scrolling LED sign. Set the color, speed, direction and text size, wrap it over several lines or hold it still, turn on the LED dot grid, add a glowing LED frame around the edge, and make it blink — even blink to the beat of the music in the room. Mirror mode flips the text for holding the phone against a window.
Color light — the screen glows a solid color of your choice at five brightness levels, handy as a room light or an improvised video light. It can also pulse in time with the music around you.
SOS / Strobe — the standard international SOS blink, or a strobe you can set anywhere from 0.5 to 10 flashes per second and sync to the beat.
Scenes — 8 of them: candle, rainbow, police lights, disco, mood, ocean, campfire, TV noise.
Flashlight — turns on the phone's real rear LED flash as a torch, steady or blinking in an SOS pattern, with a start time you can set in advance and an auto-off timer.
Morse code — type text and the app converts it to Morse code, shown as real dots and dashes and played back as a light rhythm on screen, optionally synced with the real flashlight.
Birthday candle — a flickering candle on screen; blow on the phone to blow it out, then relight it.
Clock — a large seven-segment LED clock: 20 world time zones, 12 or 24 hour, six date formats, seconds on or off, dim it for the night, and let it drift slightly so it never burns into the screen.
Fireworks — fireworks burst across the screen; pick a color (including rainbow) and turn on the bang sound effects.
Concert light — a synced lightstick wave: pick a zone, a tempo and a color palette, react to a hand wave or to the beat through the microphone, or use a photo of your own as the lightstick.
Also included — Random spin. A wheel for picking a name or settling a decision: type your own list of up to 24 entries, spin it, or shake the phone.

Every color can be mixed by hand, not just picked from a swatch. Every mode can be saved as a preset and set to switch itself off after 5 to 60 minutes. The app follows the system's light or dark appearance and speaks seven languages: English, Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish and Indonesian.
