CHOOSE YOUR REGION
Bengali Panjika — Bengali San year, Amanta lunar months, Bengali festivals.
North Indian Panchang — Vikram Samvat year, Purnimanta lunar months, North
Indian festivals (Teej, Chhath, Govardhan and more). The tithi, nakshatra,
yoga and karana underneath are the same numbers either way — this changes
the calendar's naming and festival set to match your own tradition, not
the astronomy.
CHOOSE YOUR CALCULATION METHOD
Almanacs are computed two different ways and can place a festival on a
different day. Choose the one your family follows — Bisuddha Siddhanta
(Belur Math) or Gupta Press (Madan Gupta / Benimadhab Sheel) for Bengali
families, or Drik (modern, observation-based) or Surya Siddhanta
(traditional) more broadly — and change it whenever you like.
WORKS WITHOUT INTERNET
The calendar, panchang and muhurat are all computed on your phone. No network is
needed for any of it. Only the AI chat goes online.
HONEST BY DESIGN
• The astronomy is computed, not copied: a pure-Dart engine (Meeus/VSOP87),
checked against Swiss Ephemeris.
• Bengali dates are checked against printed panjikas across several years.
North Indian dates are checked against a widely used panchang reference
site, since we don't yet hold printed North Indian sources — the app is
clear about which is which.
• Muhurat and rashifal follow traditional rules, shown with their source. They
are offered for reflection and cultural guidance, not as certain prediction,
and are not a substitute for medical, legal or financial advice.
• Explanations are drafted with AI and then edited against sources. Where there
is no verified explanation, the app says so instead of inventing one.
• Printed panjikas differ from each other by a few minutes, and so will this.
The app says that plainly rather than hiding it.
NO ACCOUNT, NO PERSONAL DATA
There is no login and no sign-up. No name, email or phone number is collected.
Your location stays on your device and is used only to compute your own sunrise
and sunset.
