The name comes from the Greek "pericope" (περικοπή): a section of Scripture that forms a unit of meaning. While other apps divide the Bible into arbitrary chapters, Pericopae respects the original narrative structure. You'll never read a story cut in half.

There are 936 passages from the New Testament, each with:
