Pure Light APP
Need a gentle light for reading at night, finding something in the dark, or filling a room with even white light? Pure Light fills the entire screen. While in use, nothing but light — tap the screen briefly for more options.
HOW IT WORKS
Drag vertically in the center of the screen:
• Upper area — hardware brightness from 100% down to your device's minimum
• Lower area — when the screen is already as dim as Android allows, Pure Light keeps lowering the perceived brightness by shifting the canvas from white toward near-black
Many phones stop at 1% brightness and still feel too bright in a dark room. Pure Light solves that without overlays, without permissions, and without covering other apps — it's just your screen, used as a lamp.
MORE FEATURES
• Sleep fade — set a timer to dim gradually to black, then let the screen sleep
• Home screen widget — quick presets and your last level; tap to open the app at that brightness
• Action bar — tap the screen for Fade, Tip, and Widget buttons
WHY PURE LIGHT IS DIFFERENT
✓ No permissions required for the lamp itself
✓ No ads, no analytics, no account
✓ No system-wide overlay — the app itself is the light source
✓ Two-tier control in one natural gesture
✓ Remembers your last brightness level
✓ Screen stays on while the app is open
✓ Ultra-lightweight — a tiny download with no bloated frameworks
✓ Battery conscious — negligible CPU use; power goes to the display
SUPPORT THE APP (OPTIONAL)
Pure Light is completely free. If this lamp earns a permanent spot on your nightstand, tap the screen for the action bar, then Tip to open the Tip Jar. Choose a voluntary tip via Google Play — names and prices come from the store in your local currency. Tips are consumable, so you can thank us again anytime. Payment is handled by Google; we never see your card details.
Pure Light is intentionally minimal: open it, adjust with a drag, and put the phone down. That's it.
UNDER THE HOOD
Built with native Android views and no heavy graphics engines. No continuous background work — only touch handling while you adjust brightness. The main battery use is the light from the screen itself.
Feedback welcome — enjoy the light.
