Reporter Map: Dengue & Noise APP

Saw a problem in your neighborhood? Put it on the map so everyone knows

Spotted standing water that could turn into a mosquito breeding site, or noise disturbing the block at 2am? That's what Reporter Map is for: a collaborative map where you mark what's happening in your neighborhood — anonymously, on the spot.

Brazil is Reporter Map's launch country — an app made here. So if you find the map empty, that's normal this early on: every report you send helps populate your area. Be one of the first to map your neighborhood — and the map gets more useful for everyone nearby.

How it works:
- Tap a spot on the map, choose a category, and submit your report in seconds.
- Focus categories: mosquito sightings and breeding sites, and noise (with a built-in decibel meter) — plus over a dozen civic categories, like potholes, burned-out streetlights, illegal dumping, and abandoned or dangerous animals.
- Attach a photo to back up your report.
- Confirm what's still happening, or flag what's over — the community itself keeps the map up to date.
- Set your home to get notified when a new report shows up nearby.

Privacy by default:
- Reports are anonymous between users — nobody in the app sees who sent what.
- Sensitive reports never show up with an exact pin: on the map, they become a shaded area, because the location is already rounded right on your device before it ever leaves it — the exact point never reaches our servers.
- The same goes for your home and for any photo you attach: location is used and processed only locally, on your device, never sent or stored with precision.
- You decide what to share: attaching a photo is always optional, and every report category is already born with the right level of precision — no manual configuration needed.

For anyone who wants to spot a mosquito breeding site before it becomes a problem, keep an eye on their neighborhood's health, and deal with that noise or pothole nobody else reports — starting with the very first report.
