Scratchy: Dates for Couples APP
Friday, 8 pm, and neither of you wants to be the one who decides. Let the card decide.
Scratchy gives you a deck of 100 sealed cards, and every card is a date. A few questions at the start shape it: your idea of a good weekend, a rough budget for a night out, and three honest switches for car, alcohol and cooking. Out of 200 ideas the app keeps the 99 you can actually pull off, from a blindfolded pizza night to a bike ride where a coin flip picks every turn. Before the first scratch you both sign: whatever comes up, you do it.
Then comes the drag. Keep your finger on the foil until 60 percent of it is gone. Stop early and it seals itself back up. The card you finally uncover is your date, and it stays open until you have been on it, because the deck only lets you have one going at a time. "We did it!" unlocks five minutes after the scratch. A joker gets you out of a card that really will not work, but a jokered card never counts as a date.
Afterwards the night goes into your album as a polaroid: stars, a mood, whether you would do it again, a note, and where it happened on the map. When a card needs a place, Scratchy hands the idea to your maps app so you can see what is around you. Pick a time, drop it into your calendar and get a reminder an hour before. Streaks, badges and a golden final card, which only opens once the rest are cleared, keep pulling you back to the deck.
Everything works in English, Hungarian and German, cards included. There is nothing to sign up for. Your names and memories live on this phone.
Free, with ads. Scratchy+ comes monthly, or yearly with a 7-day free trial, and adds:
- no ads
- 2 jokers every month instead of 1 in total
- photos in your memories
- your own surprise cards, sealed so your partner scratches them blind
The Spicy pack is a one-time purchase of its own: 30 bolder cards, 18+ only.
