SnackProof: Additive Scanner

Know what's in it before they eat it.

SnackProof turns a photo of any ingredients label into a clear, plain-English verdict, so you can decide in the aisle instead of squinting at a list of chemical names.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Point your camera at the ingredients panel, or scan the barcode.
2. SnackProof reads the label and matches every ingredient against a human-reviewed additive database.
3. You get an A-F grade, a colour-coded verdict, and a plain-English explanation of each flagged ingredient.

THE AI READS THE LABEL. IT NEVER JUDGES.
This is the part that matters. The AI's only job is to transcribe what is printed on the pack. Every safety verdict comes from a deterministic, human-reviewed rules database that ships inside the app. The same label and the same settings always produce the same grade, with no invented health claims and no made-up science.

BUILT FOR PARENTS
- Tell SnackProof who you are shopping for (toddler, kids, whole family, or just you) and kid-sensitive additives are weighted accordingly.
- Choose the concerns you care about: artificial dyes, artificial sweeteners, preservatives, emulsifiers and thickeners, added sugars.
- Optional halal, kosher and vegan flags highlight ingredients such as gelatin, carmine and mono- and diglycerides that are commonly questioned. These are factual flags, never religious rulings; consult your own authority for certification.

ON EVERY VERDICT
- An A-F grade and score, with a green, amber or red headline
- Every flagged ingredient, sorted by severity, each with a one-line summary
- Tap any ingredient for the full detail: what it is, why it is flagged, and its regulatory status
- The allergen statement, quoted verbatim from the label
- The complete ingredient list, with flagged items highlighted
- A shareable verdict card

ALSO INCLUDED
- Barcode scanning, with product data from Open Food Facts
- Scan history that works offline
- Save the products you buy again

PRIVACY
No accounts, no sign-up, no login. We never ask for your name, email address or password. Label photos are sent for text extraction and then discarded. They are never stored, never attached to your history, and never used to train a model.
