Touch Blocker: Screen Lock

Touch Blocker is a touch lock that puts an invisible shield over your screen. Start a video, lock touch, and the picture keeps playing while taps and swipes are ignored. Or block just one part of the screen and keep using the rest.

It is built for the everyday moments: a toddler holding the phone during a cartoon, a film in bed, a game where your thumb keeps hitting the edge, a corner of the glass that taps on its own.

▸ LOCK THE WHOLE SCREEN
• Tap Lock, pick a short start delay, then open your video or game.
• To unlock, hold the small lock button for 2 seconds. One tap, a resting palm or a second finger does nothing.
• The button fades out after a few seconds so it stays off the picture. Choose which corner it sits in.
• The screen stays awake while locked, so a long episode does not go dark.
• A simple kid mode and toddler lock screen for videos: little hands can poke around and the show carries on.

▸ BLOCK ONLY WHAT YOU CHOOSE
• Drag rectangles over the areas that should ignore touch. Everything else works normally.
• Move, resize and tint each zone. Zones follow the glass, so they stay put when you rotate the phone.
• Touch finder: every touch leaves a dot on screen, so you can see which area registers touches you did not make before you draw a zone.
• Disable touch in a screen area that registers ghost touches, such as a cracked corner, and keep the rest of the display in use.

• Today shows your lock streak: how many days in a row you used a lock.
• Stats add up the time you kept the screen locked this week, split between full screen and zones, with a bar for every day.
• A monthly calendar marks the days you locked.
• Milestone badges unlock as your streak and total time grow.
• Everything is calculated on your phone from your own lock history.

• Quick Settings tile to lock and unlock from the notification shade.
• A notification with an Unlock button while locked, plus optional Lock buttons when not.

▸ HONEST LIMITS
Android keeps the status bar, gesture navigation and the power and volume buttons above every app layer, so on newer Android versions they can still respond. Touch Blocker blocks touches and does not repair screen hardware. Restarting the phone always removes the lock.

▸ PERMISSIONS AND PRIVACY
• Display over other apps: needed to place the layer that blocks touch. The app does not read your screen or what you type.
• Notifications (Android 13 and newer): for the Unlock button while locked.
• No accessibility service is used.
• Zones, settings, streaks and your PIN stay on your device. The PIN is stored only as a salted hash.
• Anonymous usage and crash reports help us fix problems. Ads in the free version come from an ad network.
