The Story Behind the Nadhom
Sheikh Ahmad Al-Marzuqi saw the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in a dream, surrounded by his companions, who said: "Recite a poem on the science of Tawhid (monotheism); whoever memorizes it will enter Paradise and attain whatever goodness they seek, in accordance with the Qur'an and Hadith." When Sheikh Ahmad asked which poem, the companions told him to listen to the Prophet himself — who then taught it to him, continuing into the following night.
