framelad: GBA RNG manipulation APP
It plays the game through a built-in emulation core and reads the random-number state straight out of emulated memory. That's the whole trick. Because the RNG sits in memory the emulator already owns, framelad can watch it while you play instead of working backwards from what you saw on screen. You get a table of what's coming, frame by frame, and you can check the result the moment it lands.
Everything happens on the device. No accounts, no ads, no tracking, nothing collected. framelad opens no internet connections of its own. The one network feature is local link play, and that only ever talks to other phones on your own Wi-Fi.
WHAT IT DOES
• Plays compatible titles through the built-in core. You bring your own game files.
• Lays out a long table of upcoming spawns from the live seed: the entity, its disposition, hidden stat rolls, whether it's a rare variant (✦), and the exact frame it lands on
• Filters that table down to what you're actually hunting: one entity, a disposition, minimum stat rolls, or rare only. It then tells you which frame to hit.
• Examines any roster, storage, or live spawn slot to show what an entity really is, hidden stats and rare status included
• Opens a second save file alongside your running game so you can move entities between the two, with a timestamped backup of both taken before anything is written
• Four-player local link over Wi-Fi, for trading straight between devices with no server in the middle
• Save states, autosave, and battery-save import and export
WHY FRAMELAD
• No PC involved. No second tool to run alongside it, and nothing to set up first.
• Nothing leaves the phone. I don't run a server, so there's nowhere for it to go.
• Pay once and every feature is included. No subscription, no in-app purchases.
• Works on anything running Android 10 or later
DO I NEED TO SUPPLY THE GAME?
Yes. framelad ships with no game, no ROM, and no game data at all, not even the names, which is why you'll see numeric IDs until you import a name file of your own. It's an emulator and an analysis tool. What you run through it is your business and your responsibility, and I don't provide game files, link to them, or tell you where to look.
A WORD ON SAVE FILES
Moving entities between save files writes to real save data. framelad backs both files up first, timestamped, and you can restore either one from inside the app. Keep your own export as well. Save data is the one thing here that's genuinely hard to replace.
PRIVACY
No personal data is collected, and there's no server to collect it with. You can read the full policy at https://twius.github.io/Policies/framelad/ or in the app under Menu > About > Privacy policy.
