Insight Data APP
He doesn't understand where it went. All he did was chat on WhatsApp and check Facebook between classes in Douala. But in the background, his apps updated themselves, downloaded thumbnails, and synced photos he never looks at. The result: no more data before the end of the month, forced to buy another plan he hadn't planned for, and unable to contact his family for two days.
Carelle, on the other hand, has the same plan with MTN Cameroon. And she has enough for the whole month.
She opened InsightData once and saw that it was Instagram and its automatic updates that were draining her data allowance without her really using it. She turned everything off except WhatsApp and Facebook—the only two apps she truly needs. She even created a "Social Media" group with a small data plan dedicated just to them. The rest, she keeps for what matters.
Don't be like Dimitri. Be like Carelle.
InsightData shows you, app by app, where your data goes—Wi-Fi and mobile, separately—and lets you decide who has internet access. Everything happens on your phone, without any external servers: Orange, MTN, or anywhere else, your browsing data never belongs to us.
What InsightData changes in practice:
• Track the Wi-Fi and mobile data usage of each app in real time.
• Block or allow each app individually.
• App groups: dedicate a data plan to your essential apps (like Carelle).
• Emergency mode: turn everything off with one tap, except for apps marked as essential.
• Blocking schedule: turn off an app at night, or for a specific period.
• Configurable alert before reaching 100% of your data plan, with notification and vibration.
• Automatic mobile data cutoff when your data plan is used up (optional).
• A persistent notification summarizes your usage and the remaining percentage.
Your privacy
All your usage analysis remains on your phone, never transmitted or sold. Only anonymous crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics, which can be disabled in the settings) are sent to fix bugs. The app remains free thanks to ads; these do not collect any information about your usage or installed applications.
InsightData uses Android's VPN authorization (VpnService) to create this firewall—100% local protection: no traffic is ever sent to an external VPN server; only your phone is affected.
