Relembot uses the Android Accessibility Service (AccessibilityService) to monitor WhatsApp messages in the background and automatically identify tasks using artificial intelligence.
The accessibility service is necessary to:
• Read the text of messages received on WhatsApp (com.whatsapp and com.whatsapp.w4b) to identify possible tasks
• Capture the name of the contact or group in the active conversation
• Function continuously even when the app is minimized
The service does NOT access other applications, passwords, bank details, or any information outside of WhatsApp.
Texts identified as tasks are sent to the Anthropic API (Claude) for AI processing via a secure intermediary server. No data is permanently stored on our own servers.
The use of the Accessibility API is essential for the main functioning of Relembot and is not used for data collection, behavioral analysis, or advertising purposes.
