A receipt that looks like a pavti book

Every receipt gets the next serial number, and that number never changes afterwards. The donor's name, the amount in figures and in words, the date, the mode of payment and the name of the karyakarta who accepted it are all printed on it, along with the mandal's logo, the signatures of the Adhyaksh and the Khajindar, and a QR carrying the receipt's own details. Send the pavti as a PDF on WhatsApp, or print it.

Who can do what is settled

Only the Adhyaksh, Upadhyaksh and Khajindar can file a new receipt, and only they can correct one. Expenses are recorded by the Adhyaksh, Sachiv and Khajindar. Posts are assigned by the Adhyaksh alone. A mandal's records are visible only to the members who have joined it.

Promised vargani is not forgotten

When somebody promises vargani but has not paid yet, record it as pending. No money has arrived, so no receipt is issued. The name, the promised amount and what is still due stay on the list, and one tap sends a reminder over WhatsApp.

Expenses, fully recorded

Idol, mandap, lighting, sound, cultural programmes, pooja materials, prasad, security, permissions, the visarjan procession and social causes are all there as ready categories. Every expense can carry a photo of the bill, and the share of the collection already spent sits at the top of the page.

Reports ready for the meeting

Daily collection, collection by karyakarta, the full festival ledger, the pending vargani list and the expense report. Each one exports as a CSV you can send on WhatsApp or email and open on a computer.

Nothing is quietly erased

A wrong receipt can be cancelled but not deleted. The cancelled entry stays in the book, marked as cancelled, stops counting towards the collection, and its serial is never reused. The record of who changed what is written by the server rather than the app, so nobody can alter it.

Works when the pandal has no signal

Receipts are created and saved offline. They sync on their own when the network returns, and the serial is finalised then.

Adding karyakarte is easy

Let them point their phone camera at the QR on your screen, or give them the code, or send the invite link. The code can be changed at any time, and the old one stops working immediately.

Announcements reach everyone

Aarti timings, a meeting or visarjan details go out to every member of the mandal as one announcement.

About money, plainly

This app does not take, send or handle any payment. Vargani reaches the mandal the way it always has, in cash or on the mandal's own UPI. The app only keeps the record of it.

In Maharashtra a mandal must be registered to collect vargani. The registration status and number can be recorded in the app and are printed on the receipt.
