Prayer Times: Quran, Qibla APP
PRAYER TIMES
• Six calculation methods: Diyanet (Turkey), Muslim World League (MWL), Umm al-Qura, ISNA, Egyptian General Authority, and University of Karachi. You choose which one to use.
• Hanafi or Shafi option for Asr.
• Times were checked against Turkey's official Diyanet calendar in five cities, matching within ±1 minute (verified by automated tests) — an accuracy comparison, not an endorsement or partnership.
• Separate notification for each prayer: an "upcoming" reminder and an "it's time" alert, both optional.
• Per-prayer minute offset, so you can match your local mosque's schedule exactly.
• A home screen widget counts down live to the next prayer.
• Hijri calendar date shown daily on the home screen.
QIBLA COMPASS
• Qibla direction calculated from your device's own sensors, fully offline — wherever you are.
• Magnetic declination correction using the built-in WMM2025 model.
• Distance to the Kaaba shown in kilometers.
• Direction lock, calibration warning, and a map-based fallback for devices without a working compass.
THE HOLY QURAN
• The Arabic text is built into the app — start reading immediately, no download required.
• Latin-script transliteration for reading along.
• Translation available in five languages: English (Yusuf Ali), Turkish (Elmalılı Hamdi Yazır), Urdu (Ahmed Raza Khan), Persian (Ghomshei) and Russian (Sablukov).
• Audio recitation highlights the current verse, auto-scrolls, and can be controlled from the lock screen — downloaded on first listen and cached on your device.
• Search by surah name.
TASBIH, DUA & THE 99 NAMES
• Tasbih (digital counter): cumulative count, unlimited mode, add your own dhikr, vibration feedback.
• 25 daily duas and adhkar (from the Hisn al-Muslim collection), with transliteration and meaning.
• The 99 Names of Allah (Asma-ul Husna): searchable, with a "name of the day".
DESIGNED FOR EVERYONE
• Interface available in 14 languages (English, Turkish, Arabic, Urdu, Indonesian and more), with right-to-left layout for Arabic, Urdu and Persian.
• Three text-size levels and screen-reader (TalkBack) support.
• Light, dark and system themes.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Does the app work without internet?
Yes. Prayer times and qibla direction are calculated on your device, and the Arabic text is built in. Only translations and audio need internet the first time; after that they're stored on your device.
Is my location shared with anyone?
No. Your location is used on-device only, to calculate prayer times and qibla direction — it is never sent to a server. We do collect anonymous usage and crash statistics, and we're not hiding that.
Which calculation methods are supported?
Diyanet, MWL, Umm al-Qura, ISNA, Egyptian General Authority and University of Karachi, plus a Hanafi/Shafi option for Asr and a per-prayer minute offset.
Can I use it during Ramadan for suhoor and iftar times?
Yes. Fajr and Maghrib times double as suhoor and iftar times, and the home screen widget counts down to each.
PERMISSIONS
• Location: used only to calculate prayer times and qibla direction, entirely on your device — it never leaves your phone. You can also set your city manually instead.
• Notifications: requested for prayer-time alerts; can be turned off in settings at any time.
OUR HONESTY PROMISE
• No ads are shown on the qibla, prayer times or Quran screens. This is a design rule, enforced by automated tests.
• No dark patterns — nothing in this app is designed to mislead you.
