Open Me First is a tiny pause button for you. When you feel the urge to do something that you don’t really want to do, tap this app first.
Every urge or feeling can pass if you let it. Sometimes it’s hard to find the space to pause and breathe. This app gently guides you through a short breathing moment and a few calm, supportive messages. It reminds you that urges pass, feelings change, and you don’t have to act on every impulse. It stays with you until you feel strong enough to carry on.
How it works
• When you feel an urge to do something you don’t want to, or you feel yourself getting stuck in a thought loop, open “Open Me First”.
• Breathe with the simple on-screen prompt.
• Read a supportive quote chosen for you.
• The quote and the breathing help to focus your mind.
• If you’re not ready to move on, press “I’m not OK yet” and you’ll get another breather and message. Keep going for as long as you don’t feel OK.
• When you feel strong enough to move on, choose “I’m OK now” to finish.
• The final screen reminds you that you’re resilient and that the app will be here next time you need it.
There are no accounts, no tracking, and no data collection. Everything happens on your device. The core experience is completely free. There is an optional one-time tip inside the app if you’d like to support the developer.
